
Emily is a Suzuki and traditional violin and viola instructor, freelancer, and frequent performer in the Greater Hartford area. Emily earned her Bachelor’s and Graduate degrees in Viola Performance from The Hartt School of Music where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. While at The Hartt School she completed a rigorous two-year long-term Suzuki Violin training course with Teri Einfeldt, former chair of the Suzuki Association of America, and holds registered Suzuki book training for books 1 through 8. During the course of her education she has studied with members and graduates of the Philadelphia Orchestra, Houston Symphony, Kölner Philharmonie, The Juilliard School, Peabody Conservatory of Music, Conservatoire de National in Paris, and Manhattan School of Music.
Emily’s students have been accepted in the CMEA’s Northern and Eastern Regional Middle School and High School Orchestra Festivals, CMEA’s All-State Orchestra, Kinhaven Summer Camp, New England Music Festival, Inter-El Music Music Program in the West Hartford Public Schools, Orchestras and Chamber ensembles at the Hartt School Community Division, The Hartt Suzuki Summer Institute, numerous summer music camps, and have been accepted into college music degree programs.
Emily maintains a large studio of private students at her Windsor studio, St.Marks Music Academy in Storrs, The Montessori School of Greater Hartford, and is on faculty at The Loomis Chaffee School and The Westminster School. Click here to view my full resume.
